Kane Richardson, the Australian pacer had pulled out his name from the upcoming T20I and ODI series against the Indian Team. The fast bowler has decided “to be with his wife and their newborn son,” a Cricket Australia release read.
The pacer had become father in the last week, even he had pulled out his name from the IPL in September which was held at UAE and wanted to be with his pregnant wife in Australia. For the presence with his wife he had even left some couple of Sheffield shield games. His last appearance was come on the England Tour which was held in September.
“It was a difficult decision for Kane to make but one which has the complete support of the selectors and the entire playing squad,” Australian national selector Trevor Hohns stated this on November 18.
“Kane wanted to remain in Adelaide with Nyki and their newborn son. We will always support our players and their families; even more so given the challenging environment, we are in. We will miss what he brings to the team but completely understand and support his decision,” he stated.
Replacement for Kane Richardson-
Andrew Tye has been named as the replacement for the Australian pacer Kane Richardson. Andrew Tye was the part of Australian squad of UK in September and been also traded t Rajasthan Royal in this IPL. He had just played only one match. He came into action after a long time being acquired by an elbow surgery in November last year.
“AJ is incredibly skilled in both forms of the short game. He impressed in the UK with his high work ethic and his positive energy around the squad,” Hohns stated. “He is a great player to be able to call on.”

Furthermore due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Adelaide had visualized extra three players been added into the training group of Australia. After returning from the IPL, Josh Philippe, Tye had been isolated for quarantine and D’Arcy Short will also give training with these two in Sydney for their involvement in the Big Bash League.
