Kolkata Knight Riders have joined Tim Southee for the leftover 31 rounds of the Indian Premier League (IPL). An establishment source has affirmed the marking of the New Zealand pacer to Cricbuzz on Thursday (August 26).
Southee, naturally, comes instead of Pat Cummins who has pulled out of the IPL second leg referring to individual reasons.
Having highlighted in the IPL for six continuous years, Southee went unsold in the 2020 sale. His latest appearance came in the 2019 version when he turned up for RCB, getting done with an economy pace of 13 in the three games he played.
From this stage, the journey of KKR is truly crucial as they are at 7th position of the points table with only two wins from seven matches.
