It is been a hot topic of discussion over the absence of Rohit Sharma ahead of Australian series and Indian skipper came up with a reply saying pretty unclear about the fact of this consequence and said the case hasn’t been handled properly by the concerned parties against Australia.
As the vice captain of Indian Team Rohit Sharma is still in India undergoing rehabilitation at National Cricket Academy due to the hamstring injury. He missed out of the squad from all the three formats due to the injury caused during the mid season of IPL 2020. But with his unexpected entry in the playoffs of IPL made him available for the Test squad ahead of Australian series.
After the conclusion of IPL 2020, the rest of the team members who got selected for the Tour fly to Australia while Rohit decided to return India. At that time of circumstances it seemed like BCCI and the medical team wants Rohit to fly towards Bangalore for proper fitness ahead of series, but recent reports and the sources indicates that there wasn’t any barrier of thoughts between BCCI and Rohit over the sudden travel towards India. It is seen clearly unjustified. Now it is been seen around that Rohit had fly to India due to his father who is suffering from COVID-19.
Virat Kohli on Rohit Sharma’s absence:
Controversies between the reports and the rumours Indian skipper Virat Kohli had made it clear that entire scenario over Rohit Sharma’s absence is bit confusing and less of transparency was seen over the decision. Virat Kohli also admitted it that after the conclusion of IPL 2020 he wants his all teammates to board the flight from UAE to Australia but things wouldn’t gone that way what he thought.

“We had no information whatsoever on the reason why he is not travelling with us. The only other information we have received officially that he is at the NCA and he will be further accessed on 11th December “ said by Indian Skipper Virat Kohli.
“From that selection meeting to IPL finishing till the last e-mail, there has been no information, lack of clarity and we have been playing the waiting game on this issue for a while, which isn’t ideal at all. It has been confusing,” said by Kohli.
It is notable that still there isn’t any proper confirmation over presence of Rohit Sharma in the remaining last two Test matches. He can’t be considered in fully fitness genre and it could be concern issue that he might even miss whole series.
