Lasith Malinga becomes the first bowler to take two T20I hat-tricks


Yesterday, Sri Lanka was played the last T20i match of three matches T20I series against New Zealand and won the game, but they have already lost the series. New Zealand won the series by 2-1. New Zealand Captain Tim Southee awarded with the player of the series award. Sri Lanka won the last T20I because of Lasith Malinga’s Five-wicket Haul. During this match, Lasith Malinga becomes the first bowler to take two T20I hat-tricks. He took four wickets in four balls.

Lasith Malinga is the only bowler who takes four in four balls in both ODIs and T20Is. During the world cup 2007, He took four wickets in four balls in the ODIs and Now in the T20Is. He awarded with the player of the match award.

In the post-match presentation Lasith Malinga Said, “In the last two games, we didn’t get through. So we wanted to win this game for all the people who’ve come here. All the players are really happy with what we did in this match. The secret to my bowling is not to complicate things much. Yorker was my best ball; I only try my best to bowl the right line and right length. Really happy that we won the match, I am a wicket-taking bowler when I play for Sri Lanka.”
