World’s biggest T20 league i.e. Indian Premier League is all set for its 13th edition after an inevitable delay of almost 6 months. The tournament, this year, will be played behind closed doors in the wake of Corona Virus. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is also all geared up to stage the cricket carnival 2020 from 19th September to 10th November in the UAE.

Mumbai Indians left for Dubai on Friday (August 21). And while Lasith Malinga was expected to join the team at a later date, he looks set to be miss the entire tournament. Now Lasith Malinga will miss the entire season of IPL 2020, James Pattinson replaces him at Mumbai Indians.

According to a report in Sri Lankan news outlet Newswire, the Sri Lankan legend has opted to forego the tournament due to personal family reasons. Missing Lasith Malinga will be a big blow for Mumbai Indians who will be eyeing a record-extending fifth IPL title.

Along With Lasith Malinga, Isuru Udana is the other Sri Lankan player who will play in the Indian Premier League 2020. Udana will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Now Lasith Malinga is all set to miss the Entire season of the Indian Premier league 2020. So Isuru Udana is the only Sri Lankan player who will play in the IPL 2020
