Main Indian Players to be rested for West Indies Series

Several players  from India’s white ball group are probably going to be rested for the eight-match series against the West Indies in the not so distant future. The players to be left out are not yet settled yet naturally it will be the seniors as opposed to the young people. India will play three ODIs and five T20Is against the West Indies between July 22 and August 7 in the Caribbean and the US.

The declaration of the crews was to occur over the most recent couple of days however has been deferred as the public selectors have not yet concluded on the rest issue.  Determination board director Chetan Sharma, who is going with the group in England, may stop to talk with the players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Rishabh Pant among others after the last day of the Edgbaston Test.

In the interim, the Indian white-ball captain Rohit, has arrived at Southampton where India will begin their six-coordinate white-ball leg of the England visit with a T20I on Thursday (July 7). Rohit, it is learnt, is still in Birmingham while different individuals from the crew for the principal T20I have gone to Southampton.

VVS Laxman, who went to Ireland as the mentor of the T20I side, is likewise going with the group. Laxman dealt with the side during the two warm-up games, against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire, on July 1 and 3.

After the Southampton game, India will go to Birmingham to play the second T20I prior to going to Nottingham for the third and last T20 game.

Of the three ODIs two will be in London (The Oval and Lord’s) on July 12 and 14 separately. The last match of the series is in Manchester on July 17 following which India fly to Trinidad for the West Indies series.
