Both Australia men’s and women’s team have retained the Ashes. After winning the first test of the series, Australia have lost the third test, but they have strongly fought back and won the fourth ashes test to retain the Ashes. Now Australia can try to win the last test and fifth test. The fifth Ashes test will start from September 12.
Steve Smith has scored a double century in the first inning and in the second inning; he has scored a half-century. So he was awarded the player of the match award. Mitchell Starc has made his comeback from this match also played well. Yesterday, when Mitchell Starc took a wicket and his wife Alyssa Healy hit a four at the same moment. Australia women’s team was playing an ODI match against West Indies. Both incidents took place at the same moment. Australia women have also won the ODI match.

After retaining the Ashes, Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood said, “It is fantastic. The boys fought all the way there. All the bowlers bowled exceptional all day. Patty Cummins was like an engine. Credit to England, they stuck at it the whole game. It is an awesome feeling. It was about being ready when the captain called – for one or two over bursts, Marnus also produced a wicket. I am good. I am still feeling pretty good. But might be a bit stiff tomorrow. It (winning the Ashes) is huge and obviously the pinnacle in Test cricket. We saw another great Test match here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a helluva of a last couple of hours. It is a pretty quick turnaround to the last game, and we still want to win the series.”
