MS Dhoni is not going to retire soon; reveals his Close friend

The speculations about MS Dhoni’s future has been taking an eternity to die down. Former Indian Captain, MS Dhoni, has been the hot topic of debate ever since the 2019 World Cup. The champion player has not played any kind of Cricket since the loss against New Zealand in the semi-final of the Men’s ODI Cricket World Cup 2019. After the loss, Indian stalwart MS Dhoni took indefinite sabbatical from the game.

Now, the chances of IPL 2020 looking very slim, there are talks in the town that MS Dhoni might soon announce his retirement from International Cricket.

However, contrary to the earlier reports, one of MS Dhoni’s close friend from Ranchi has revealed that MS still wishes to play for the Man in Blue and has not considered his retirement plans yet. He also stated that Dhoni has been training as rigorously as he has ever done.

In a talk with ABP news, Dhoni’s friend revealed, “He [Dhoni] has worked even harder in the last few months before everything stopped. I haven’t seen him doing agility training so intensely ever. He knows he is not getting younger and perhaps that is why training even harder to keep himself fit.”

However, the person did not reveal his identity. But it is believed that he was one of the friends who appeared in the biopic of the Indian star– MS Dhoni: The untold story’.

“He has proved everyone wrong when no one backed him. Now there are millions of fans to back him. So he will take his chances for sure,” added Dhoni’s friend. “Mahi gets angry when we ask him questions on his retirement. He still feels he is the fittest of all and quickest wicket-keeper in India.”

After almost 8 months of sabbatical, MS Dhoni has been planning to make a successful return to the competitive cricket through IPL 2020. He had even started training for the tournament. But the COVID-19 outbreak has put all the plans in jeopardy. With BCCI already postponing the tournament till 15th April and Indian Government locking down the country till 14th April at least, there are slight chances that IPL 2020 will take place this year.
