MS Dhoni and Chennai Super Kings are synonyms of each other. In all these years since the inaugural edition of IPL, MS Dhoni has captained the team in its good or bad times. The stalwart also has three IPL titles under his name. And now, in the 13th edition of the tournament, he is ready to win CSK the coveted trophy once again.
MS Dhoni, after a longer than expected sabbatical from game, will join the Chennai Super Kings training camp ahead of VIVO IPL 2020. If the reports are to believe, MS Dhoni will join his teammates at Chennai Super Kings (CSK) training camp from March 1st in Chennai. He will be joined by the likes of Suresh Raina and Murali Vijay, another two stalwarts of Chennai Super Kings, alongside the other players of the squad.
Chennai Super Kings already had one of the most formidable units in the tournament and they further bolstered it by some value addition in this year’s IPL auction. They added the likes leg-spinner Piyush Chawla, all-rounder Sam Curran and seamer Josh Hazlewood among others in the auction. While they spend INR 6.75 crores for the former KKR leg-spinner, the English all-rounder Sam Curran was bought for INR 5.5 crores along with Aussie seamer Josh Hazlewood for INR 2 crore.
Dhoni will be looking to make a comeback to the Cricket in the best possible manner. He has been unavailable for India since the ICC World Cup 2019 missing all the subsequent series. The upcoming season is going to be a critical one for Dhoni’s future as an International Cricketer. If he can pull off one more good season under his belt, Dhoni can still have an outside chance of making it to India’s ICC T20 World Cup 2020 squad.
