Murali Vijay, former Indian Test Opener and a renowned name in franchise Cricket, hogged the limelight when he made back to back debuts in Test Cricket and IPL respectively in 2008 and 2009. With a solid technique along with the power game, he became an indispensable member of Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming seasons. He also bagged Man of the Match award in the final in the IPL 2011 for 52-ball 95 that helped CSK clinch the title.
The Champion player was all set to represent CSK in IPL 2020, before the COVID-19 outbreak put all the plans in jeopardy. In the form of COVID-19, World is facing possibly the biggest crisis since the second World War in 1940’s. People the World over have been forced to stay in lockdown.
Even the Indian Government have extended the lockdown till 3rd May. And during this quarantine period, the players and fans are keeping themselves busy by interacting on social media and surfing their interests. Recently, Murali Vijay also had an Instagram live chat session with sports producer Rupha Ramani for his IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. During the session, Vijay talked about how much he misses playing on the ground in this lockdown period.
Vijay also replied a few queries from his fans. While he was answering the questions, a fan also came up with an interesting question. The fan asked Murli Vijay to name two Cricketers he would like to have dinner with.
In an interesting reply, Murli Vijay named Australian Women’s cricket star Ellyse Perry and his fellow India opener Shikhar Dhawan to be the two cricketers, he wishes to dine with.
“Ellyse Perry. I want to have dinner with her. She is so beautiful. And Shikhar Dhawan any day. He is a fun guy. Just that he will speak Hindi and I will be conversing in Tamil,” Murali Vijay said.
