The year 2020 is throwing all kinds of surprises and all weirdest things seems to happen this year only. Ever since Jofra Archer’s old tweets have started to fall in line with recent incidents, People are digging into player’s profiles and coming up with something interesting every time.

Now, the fans have dig out Nicholas Pooran’s old B’day tweet, in which he wished to beat Chennai Super Kings as his Birthday present. Nicholas Pooran, who turned 25 on 2nd October, currently representing Kings XI Punjab in #Dream11 IPL 2020.

Back in 2013, Pooran has tweeted: “Is there a better gift than beating Chennai Super Kings?”

Coincidently, KXIP also had a match against Chennai Super Kings on 4th October to fulfil their star player’s wish. Batting first KXIP also posted a sizeable total – 178/4- on Dubai’s traditionally big ground. While KXIP captain-KL Rahul anchored the innings all of Mayank, Mandeep, Pooran, Maxwell and Sarfaraz played good cameos to post the total.

Nicholas Pooran, himself, also had a great outing as he stroked 33 runs off just 17 balls to keep the momentum provided by openers. But to Pooran’s despair, KXIP lost the match by 10 Wickets as Watson and Faf du Plessis rolled over KXIP bowling attack.

Both Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis, CSK openers, showed great intent and ruthlessness to bury the hatchet from previous matches. Such was the audacity in the chase that Faf and Watson matched each other shot by shot to hit eighties in one sided chase. The duo shared an unbeaten stand of 181 runs as Chennai Super Kings completed a perfect chase (with 10 wickets in hand) to grab two important points.

It was CSK’s second win in five matches. Previously, they had lost three consecutive matches, chasing the target. With this facile win Chennai Super Kings also raised to 6th place in points table. On the other hand, KXIP succumbed to their 4th loss of the season to finish at bottom of the table.
