With bringing the next edition of Indian Premiere League, every IPL franchise must looking to bid on few players who can promote their teams proper well being. As the auction will take place on 18th February 2021 in Chennai.

Just before the auction, a news was came out that IPL Franchise Kings XI Punjab might change their team name and the logo just ahead of the 14th edition of IPL. This will give them a fresh start to their next upbringing journey towards the Indian League. The franchise is owned by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta  followed co-owned by Ness Wadia, Karan Paul and Mohit Burman.

In the recently concluded edition, Kings XI Punjab had a pure roller coaster ride as they started their journey with a horrible start as losing the matches with a small margins but the most anticipated thing was that they bounce back in the second phase of the league by managing five wins out of seven matches. Despite of comeback they couldn’t made place in the playoffs.

It is said in the reports that Punjab franchise will start the new season with new name and new logo respectively. According to the reports given by Sportskeeda, that the Punjab franchise will going to officially announce the new name and logo just before the mini-auction that is 17th February 2021.

In the coming auction they can go for a pure shopping of the players as they have a huge amount of 53.2Cr in their kitty as they released many players which includes star players like Glenn Maxwell, Sheldon Cottrell, K. Gowtham, Jimmy Neesham, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Karun Nair and Hardus Viljoen.

“We have retained 16 players out of the 25 member squad that we had last season. So, the plan is to fill those gaps in the coming auction so that we will be a solid team going into the 2021 IPL” said by KXIP Head Coach Anil Kumble.
