Pakistan lost against arch-rivals India on June 16. India and Pakistan have faced each other seven times in the world cup and India won all the times. After this defeated, Pakistani fans started to abuse their team.
In a video, a fan was abusing Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed when he was with his child. People also started to troll the Pakistan cricket team.
After losing the match against Team India, Mohammad Hafeez said that we had failed collectively as a team.
“We failed collectively as a team. We could not produce a team effort and individual brilliance did not help us either. In cricket these days, you need team performance. Inputs from everyone,” Hafeez was quoted as saying by Pakistan’s Geo TV following team’s practice session at the Lord’s on Thursday.
“We can’t blame any single person; everyone is responsible for failing to deliver. It was a team decision and that cannot be made on what someone has tweeted. It was the team’s decision. We didn’t bowl well and that’s why we lost that game,” he said.
“All is not finished for us. We are focused on our next game and we are eager to win that match. We got ample time after the India game to regroup for a new beginning,” Hafeez added
Pakistan will face South Africa in their next game of world cup 2019 on June 23. For South Africa, This match is do or die clash. If South Africa loses this match, maybe they will out from the ICC cricket world cup 2019. While Pakistan also need to win all their reaming group stage matches if they want to qualify for the Semi-finals of world cup 2019.
Pakistan have played five matches so far in world cup 2019 and won only one match out of them. They are at the 9th position in the points table.
