In a thriller on Monday night, Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a magnificent win in Super over. With this win, RCB also reached at third position in points table with two wins in three matches of #Dream 11 IPL 2020 so far.

However, RCB’s skipper Virat Kohli haven’t had a great start of the tournament. World’s No.1 batsman in limited overs cricket has looked rusty and little scratchy in the three outing so far. In this match also, Virat didn’t contribute much in a solid total posted by RCB in the first innings. Though he smashed a last ball boundary in Super Over in a winning cause, he could score only muster three runs off 11 balls in the first innings of match.

Virat Kohli walked into bat at a time when RCB was going strong with 81 runs on the board after 9 overs. His partner Devdutt Padikkal was also batting nicely on a placid wicket. But Virat Kohli could not sustain the momentum as both Rahul Chahar and Jasprit Bumrah built dot ball pressure on RCB captain. After labouring his way to 3 runs off 10 balls, Kohli, eventually, succumbed to pressure and caught at short cover, playing a lame drive away from the body. After his third consecutive failure with the bat, fans started bashing and questioning RCB skipper for his failures.

As they say ‘Luck Favours The Brave’, Virat got another chance of redemption in Super Over. But this wasn’t a cake walk either as he was up against Jasprit Bumrah, who had an unflinching record in Super Overs in IPL. Defending only 8 runs in the over, Bumrah managed to drag it till the final ball with RCB still required a single to win two points.

Virat kept his cool and managed to flick a low full toss through square leg to win it for RCB. After Virat won it for RCB, Kings XI Punjab owner and actress Preity Zinta hit back at critics with a brutal tweet. She wrote: “OMG! Another thriller another #SuperOver. Both teams played so WELL. My heart goes out to #IshanKishan Hard Luck #Mumbai Congrats #RCB As for #Virat critics – the last one ball 4 won RCB the game Form is temporary Class is Permanent so chill out. #RCBvMI #Ipl2020 #Dream11IPL.”
