Last few days have been quite eventful for Suryakumar Yadav. After he got snubbed from National team callup on Monday, the 30-year old played a wonderful knock of 79 runs in a high voltage clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Playing against Indian skipper Virat Kohli-led side, Suryakumar Yadav played one hell of a knock to guide Mumbai Indians to a victory.
Now Indian Coach Ravi Shastri Speaks On The Exclusion of Surya Kumar Yadav for Australia tour. In the recent interview with Times Now’s Navika Kumar, Ravi Shastri talked about Surya kumar Yadav. He said that there are 3-4 other players like Yadav who are in the reckoning for the national squad, but since the team is already packed with heavy talent and experience it is challenging to crack in. For all the youngsters I have one message – be patient and when you get your opportunity grab it with both hands.
In an exclusive interview with Times Now, Ravi Shastri said, “That’s why we say to these youngsters – be patient. Like Suryakumar Yadav there are 3-4 other players on the fringe but when you have a team that is packed with talent and experience it becomes very difficult to get in.
“I remember a period in my career when 1-6 in the Indian batting line-up everyone was certain of their places and it was difficult for anyone to penetrate that middle-order and yet you had some people who were scoring tons of runs in domestic cricket and knocking at the door,” he said.
“For all the youngsters I have one message – be patient and when you get your opportunity grab it with both hands. That’s the time you don’t mess up. Instead of being disappointed be positive in your mindset that when you get the opportunity make the most of it,” Ravi Shastri added.
