RCB Captain Virat Kohli has fined rs 12 Lakh


Royal Challengers Bangalore who was the only unbeaten side of the tournament got to lose against Yellow Army on Sunday. With that now Virat Kohli led Franchise is now at the third spot of the points table. All the courtesy will be going to Sir Ravindra Jadeja who single handedly took the game away from Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been fined Rs 12 lakh for his side’s slow over-rate in the high-octane clash against cross-state rivals Chennai Super Kings, adding insult to injury. Kohli joins Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni as Indian captains who have been fined this season for slow over-rates.

After losing the toss, RCB were bowled out for 191 by MS Dhoni’s side, despite a late effort from Ravindra Jadeja, who hit four boundaries and five sixes in a 28-ball 62. In response, Devdutt Padikkal’s scintillating 15-ball 34 got the RCB openers off to a flying start. Ravindra Jadeja’s dismissal caused a collapse in RCB’s middle order, handing the Men in Red and Gold their first defeat of the season.

Mr Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh for his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct related to a minimum above rate offence, according to the report.
