Former New Zealand all-rounder, Scott Styris has named the best White ball players’ XI during his time. Scott Styris, a veteran of 219 white ball internationals has named a prolific XI which has a number of greats of all time.
The New Zealander has gone with the fearsome duo of Sanath Jayasuriya and Sachin Tendulkar. Both full of experience, audacious in shot making while being sublime in their timings at the same time. At number three, Styris has selected possibly all-time greatest no. 3, Ricky Ponting. Former Australian captain led Australia to Two Consecutive World Cup glories in 2003 and 2007.
At No. 4 slots in Indian Captain Virat Kohli, modern great and famously known as Mr. consistent. He is one of the greatest batsman in chases by quite a distance. At no. 5 in walks AB de Villiers, the former South Africa cricketer and most devastating batsman when in his zone. The South-African has the record of fastest century in ODI cricket.
AB is followed by his country man Jacques Kallis. Kallis is one of the greatest all-rounders to have played the game. Styris has slotted him at No. 6 in the XI. Though the all-rounder batted at top of the order for the large part his career.After Kaliis, in comes MS Dhoni, the finisher at No. 7. Former Indian captain will also don the gloves.
In the spin department, Styris has gone with the dream duo of Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan. The all-time great spin duo has more than 2300 international wickets between them. On the other hand, Glenn McGrath and Lasith Malinga will be sharing the fast bowling duties in the XI.
