Fitness is mandatory in the sports and with proper fitness one can single handedly fluctuate the result and focusing on this, BCCI had took initiative in promoting new rules in the fitness approach. Seeing with this fact, now BCCI had made a new clearance test where player have to pass the test with clearing 2Km run in a given time.
This test was conducted where six Indian Cricketers failed to clear the test and those are Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Rahul Tewatia, Nitish Rana, Jaydev Unadkat and Siddharth Kaul.
This test was conducted to see the potential of the players making a mark over coming T20 World Cup and and focus towards upcoming white ball series against England.

“Since this is a new type of a fitness test, they will all get a second chance to clear it at a fresh date, after some gap. If they fail to clear it, then it puts their selection for the forthcoming white ball series comprising five T20Is and three ODIs against England at home in doubt”

These tests are to examine the player’s actual potential and to work on their core fitness level to ensure their endurance approach to carry maximum fitness in the format for the national side.
What will be the next call on players who failed to achieve the feat?
“In this test, a batsman wicketkeeper, or a spinner has to complete the 2km distance in 8 minutes and 30 seconds, while for a fast bowler, the benchmark is 8minutes and 15 seconds. Six of the players failed to clear the tests. Some players barely managed to complete the run” quoted by source.
In talks with Ravi Shastri and skipper Virat Kohli has gave all permission, aiming towards the major tournament T20 World Cup to ensure proper fitness level.
