Indian Premier League holds a great significance in Indian cricket circle. IPL is the largest platform in Indian domestic tournament, which gives youngsters a chance to compete with the best of game and put first step towards stardom.
Talented players from International, domestic, U-19; almost every level of game participate and play in 2 months carnival every year. The youngsters go through a good amount of match pressure and learn about their abilities to cope with the pressure situation throughout the tournament.

Ever since the inception of IPL, Indian Cricket has benefitted a lot from the tournament. With the players like Ashwin, Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and many others turning up in Blue after successful IPLs, every season one or two players make it to national team on the back of IPL performances. Recently in a talk, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly picked 6 players, who can make it big after this IPL.
First in the list is Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav. His non-selection for tour of Australia has raised quite a few eyebrows. The dashing right-hander from Mumbai is one of the most prolific run-getters in domestic cricket in past three years. He also has impressive numbers for three successive seasons playing for Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League.

In this IPL also, he has shown that he has got temperament and courage to handle tough situations. Suryakumar Yadav is the second-leading run-scorer for Mumbai Indians in this season with 410 runs from 12 games at an average of 41.
He has also impressed Ganguly with the BCCI president saying: “He is a very good player. His time will come,” to Hindustan Times.
Apart from SKY, Sourav Ganguly is particularly impressed with five other players, a number of which also got a chance in playing XI. The former Indian skipper named Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi, Varun Chakravarthy, Shubman Gill, and Devdutt Padikkal as the player who have the potential to ace International stages too.
While Sanju Samson, Varun Chakravarthy and Shubman Gill have already been selected for Australia tour, Rahul Tripathi and Devdutt Padikkal will try to keep putting up performances.
