After losing back to back 6 matches, RCB won their first match of IPL 2019 against KXIP but their happiness cannot continue for long as they lost their next match to MI. They are bottom of points table of IPL 2019 with only one win. If Royal challengers Banglore wants to qualify in play-offs of IPL 2019 now, they have to win all of their remaining 6 matches of tournament in any condition. Losing in this match will make RCB out of IPL 2019.
Today, RCB will play against KKR on their home ground at Eden gardens. Before this match there is very good news for RCB. South African star bowler Dale Steyn may join Royal challengers Banglore in today’s match. He may replace Mohammed Siraj in this match.
This is a very good news for RCB as their weakness has been their bowling department till now, but after Dale Steyn entry in Playing XI the bowling of RCB is looking very strong. Yuzvendar Chahal is already performing well; he is consistently taking wickets in matches. With Dale Steyn entry, the combination of him and Yuzi would be very useful for Royal challengers Banglore.
Dale Steyn was practicing on nets in Eden gardens before playing against KKR. RCB posted a video of him practicing on nets on their official twitter handle. The Moen Ali last match performance will also boost confidence of his team. AB de Villers and Virat Kohli have been continuously performing well.
As far as KKR is concerned, they are facing a major issue of their star player Andre Russell fitness. They are heavily dependent on Andre Russell. After a good start in IPL 2019, KKR has lost their last three matches back to back. Almost all the matches they have won are due to Russell match winning performances.
