Indian Cricketer Shreyas Iyer has been governed out of the 2021 release of the Royal London One Day Cup because of his continuous recuperation from a shoulder injury that he supported recently.

Iyer was drafted to play for Lancashire in the Royal London Cup, which starts on July 22. In any case, as he recuperates from his physical issue, the club declared he won’t be accessible for the one-month competition and will proceed with his reinforcing interaction back in India. The choice was reached after broad conversations between agents from the BCCI, Lancashire club, and Iyer.

“I am gutted to not be able to play for Lancashire this summer, a Club that has such history and ambition. I hope to play at Emirates Old Trafford for Lancashire at some point in the future,” said by Iyer on official website of Lancashire Cricket Club (LCC).

“We are obviously very disappointed, as we were thoroughly looking forward to welcoming Shreyas to Emirates Old Trafford. Ultimately Shreyas’ long-term fitness is of paramount importance and Lancashire Cricket fully respects the decision. We wish Shreyas all the best with the remainder of his recovery, and from the conversations which I have had with the player, believe that this is an arrangement he would be keen to revisit again in the future,”

Said by Paul Allott, Lancashire’s Director of Cricket.

Iyer had experienced a shoulder injury while playing in the one-day worldwide series against England back in March. Iyer supported the injury only days before the beginning of the 2021 release of the Indian Premier League. Iyer was governed out of the IPL and Rishabh Pant supplanted him as skipper of Delhi Capitals for the present.

Iyer went through medical procedure in April and began the recuperation interaction at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) following a month-long rest. Iyer may get back to participate in the rest of the IPL later in September as he will likewise be peering toward a spot in India’s crew for the T20 World Cup.
