Mr.IPL Suresh Raina opted himself out from IPL 2020 before the start of the tournament due to personal reasons. Chennai Super Kings has lost their last game against Delhi Capitals, yesterday. There after, CSK fans come up with #comebackMrIPL trend on Twitter.
Now a Sources close to Suresh Raina told InsideSport a week back that Raina may head back to Dubai soon.
“He wants to join the CSK camp as he has sorted all issues at his end”, informed the person close to Raina.
Though CSK is yet to pick any replacement for Raina, but once he left, he was reportedly removed from CSK’s WhatsApp group. “Since then he has reached out to the team-management including CEO, Dhoni and Fleming and is looking for a chance to return”, indicated source close to Raina.
On other side, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan Rules Out Suresh Raina’s Return and said that we can’t look at Raina because he made himself unbelievable for IPL 2020 and we respect his decision.
“See, we cannot look at Raina because he made himself unavailable and we respect his decision and his space. We are not thinking about it,” Speaking to ANI, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan.
“We have been blessed with some of the best fans in the cricketing world and I can assure them that we will bounce back strongly. It is a game and you have your good days and bad days. But the boys know what they need to do and the smiles will be back,” he further added.
Chennai Super Kings will play their next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad after a week on October 2. After losing two back to back matches, CSK can try to find the rhythm again. Ambati Rayudu will also available for this match.
