On the show hosted by Karan Wahi, Raina also talked about his biggest inspiration that drives him to the play-ground even after being repeatedly omitted by national selectors.

“My daughter is my biggest support. Her arrival has changed all our lives. The little moments that I share with her are the most precious. Since day one, she has been by my side. She is my travel buddy and also my favourite gym buddy. She accompanies me and wife on our workouts, cycles with us, and even shops for her food,” Raina said.

The south-paw has been out of the action for a long time due to the knee surgery. He has not played much cricket since last year’s IPL as the left-hander missed Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this year along with opting out of Uttar Pradesh’s squad for the ongoing Ranji Trophy.

As the IPL 2020 is coming near with each day, the 33-year-old will soon join the CSK training camp. The Southpaw has been the back bone of Chennai Super Kings batting ever since his debut for the franchise. He has been the batting main stay for the franchise at No. 3 position.

With team, India is also looking for a strong finisher down the order who can also contribute some overs of bowling the left-hander still has a chance (though a faint one) to add some more international caps to his International resume. Raina last played his last match for India in 2018 against England.
