Right now the main focus of every team will be the ICC Test Championship Trophy which will be conducted in June-2021. This is the inaugural edition of the Trophy and the team remaining in the top-2 spot will be the finalists for playing the Cup on 18th June 2021 at Lord’s Cricket Stadium, London.

With a losing note, India might lose from the contention list for the Trophy and for a survival status they must have to beat English Team in the 4-match red ball series.
This will the last tournament for them to make them qualify for the final spot. As Teams like Sri-Lanka and South-Africa is still having two more series in their kitty. South Africa will be going to play one of those series with Mighty Australian side who are still in the contention for the ICC Test Championship race.
Teams like South-Africa, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh and West-Indies are out of the race and remaining teams like India, New-Zealand, England and Australia are the teams who are fighting for the finalist spot.

The coming home series against England will be a mode of survival match for both the teams. Talking about Men In Blue, this is must-win series for them. Indian Team needs to win the coming series by 4-0, 3-0, 3-1 or 2-0 against England Team for the proper place in the final spot to play at Lord’s Cricket Stadium.
If Team loses the series by 0-4 or 0-3, it will make their road on an ending note. Australia is still in the race as their coming series against South-Africa will be decider for them whereas Kiwis are at 2nd position in the points-table and their place is totally dependent upon Australia and England fate as no series is remaining for them.
On the other hand, Kangaroos are in the must win condition against South-Africa as they have to clinch the series with 3-0 or 2-0 to fix the spot.
Team with highest winning percentage will be the finalist of Trophy. India are standing with 71.7%, New-Zealand with 70.0% followed by Australia and England with 69.2% and 68.7% respectively.
