9th match of IPL 2019: KXIP vs MI
Kings XI Punjab won their first match of IPL 2019 against Rajasthan Royals but in their second match they lost to Kolkata Night Riders. On other side Mumbai Indians lost their first match to Delhi Capitals but in their second match they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in a close encounter. In point table KXIP and MI are on fourth and fifth position respectively with two points. This match will be played at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali which is home ground for KXIP. You can watch this match on Star Sports and Hotstar from 04:00 P.M.

After winning their first match of IPL 2019, they lost their second match to KKR. In first match Chris Gayle played a well knock but in second match he couldn’t continue his performance. KXIP was heavily dependent on KL Rahul but in both matches, he couldn’t play a big knock for his team. In their previous match against KKR both David Miller and Mayank Agarwal smashed a half-century. With help of their fifty KXIP was able to score 190 runs. At the end Mandeep Singh played a well inning by smashing 33 runs in 15 balls. In T-20 match every team need an extra bowler for back-up along with five bowlers. But in their previous match, KXIP took only five bowlers and this was the reason they could not perform well in bowling. So in their next match they may include Mujeeb Ur Rahman as a back-up bowler.

In a close encounter MI defeated RCB by 6 runs. In their previous match Jasprit Bumrah’s outstanding performance crushed RCB at scored of 181 runs. Bumrah clinched 3 wickets and gave only 20 runs in 4 overs. From MI no player could play a big knock. But all batsmen played a small and important innings. MI captain Rohit Sharma scored 48 runs but he couldn’t convert it into a big inning. Yuvraj Singh also played an enthralling inning as he hit three back to back sixes in Yuzvendra Chahal over. In the end of inning Hardik Pandya hit some big shots, he scored 32 runs in 14 balls. MI scored 187 runs at the loss of 8 wickets and successfully defended the target.
