Get ready for witness the mega event of 14th edition of Indian Premier League Auction. This could be a great effort to spectate one of the entertaining and lovingly event which is going to take place on 18th February 2021 in Chennai. As per the dates it will be conducted just after the second test day of India and England. The time decided for the IPL-2021 auction will be 3PM IST.

As the registration for the IPL has been closed on 4th February 2021 and it is great to spectate that a total of 1097 players has registered their name to the tournament which consists of 814 Indian players and 283 overseas players respectively.

15 Countries Players has registered the name in the IPL 2021 auction.

It has been reported that a total of 15 overseas countries players has been demonstrated to registered their name towards the upcoming auction. A total of 61 place is scheduled to be for auction from which 22 are for the foreign players.

According to the reports 207 capped players, 863 uncapped and 27 Associate players has been from those 1097 players. 283 players has been reported from the foreign branch.

The foreign players are listed with maximum registration came out from Australia with 42 Players whereas 38 from the Proteas country.

Players from Nepal, UAE, Ireland and USA has also registered their name in the auction list.

The overall detailed branch of players are as follows:-

Capped Indian- 21 Players

Uncapped Indian- 743 Players

Capped International players- 186 Players

Associate- 27 players

Uncapped Indian player who had played only 1IPL MATCH- 50 players

Foreign uncapped Player who had played only 1 IPL MATCH- 2Players

Uncapped International- 68 Players

Big names are their in the list of auction like Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith, Aaron Finch, Chris Morris respectively. Let’s see how the outcome will be seen for the coming IPL-14.

According to Espncricinfo,

Shakib Al Hasan and Sreesanth are both part of the auctions this year, having served out suspensions or bans earlier. While Shakib is one of 11 players to be listed at the highest base price of INR 2 crore, Sreesanth has set his base price at INR 75 lakhs.

The others who have listed their base price at INR 2 crore are Kedar Jadhav, Harbhajan Singh, Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, Mark Wood and Colin Ingram.

Dawid Malan, the world’s top-ranked T20I batsman but who is yet to feature in the IPL, set his base price at INR 1.5 crore ($206,000 approx.), as have Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Alex Carey, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jhye Richardson, Mitchell Swepson, Tom Curran, Lewis Gregory, Alex Hales, Adam Lyth, Adil Rashid and David Willey.

Among others, Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Hanuma Vihari, Marnus Labuschagne, and Sheldon Cottrell have all listed their base prices at INR 1 crore ($137,000 approx.).

James Pattinson, part of the Mumbai Indians’ title-winning squad in 2020, also opted out.

Harry Gurney and Tom Banton also did not register.
