It’s two days and two one sided contests in #Dream11 IPL 2020. After CSK succumbed to defeat chasing a tall target against RR two days ago, it was RCB that exploded against KXIP yesterday.
After conceding a Super-over defeat against Delhi Capitals, KL Rahul’s second game as captain went as perfect as it can be for anyone. Batting first on a fresh wicket, KL Rahul destroyed RCB’s bowling attack in one of greatest IPL batting performances. KL Rahul pulled, flat batted, drove, scooped RCB’s bowlers, to make 132 runs off just 69 balls with the help of 14 fours and 7 sixes, as KXIP posted a huge total of 206-3 in 20 overs.
After playing cautiously initially in the innings, KL Rahul changed the gears when Umesh Yadav came into attack in 10th over of the innings. Umesh Yadav, who has had an average start in the match, put up one of the worst performances as he bowled – wide, in the slot for four, on pads, a beamer deemed as no-ball, free hit for six, dot, again on the pads for four and a single- to concede 20 runs in the over.
Though 20-runs in an over isn’t a big thing in T20s, it was the buttery fingers of Umesh Yadav that drawn criticism from the social media. On the third ball of the over, Umesh bowled a head-high and wide beamer to KL Rahul that skipped the keeper on the way to fine leg. The ball was such a disaster that it would have wide even for a left-hand batsman.
After RCB lost the match by a comprehensive margin of 97 runs, the twitter went berserk behind the Vidarbha bowler for abysmal bowling performance.
