Two Sri-Lankan Players tested covid positive

Two individuals from the 28-part temporary Sri Lanka crew for the T20I and ODI cricket arrangement in England have been tried positive for COVID 19. Quick bowling all-rounders Dananjaya Lakshan and Ishan Jayaratne confirmed positive on Saturday when an antigen test was run on them preceding getting the main portion of the antibody against the COVID-19 pandemic.

SLC Management Committee Member Ashley de Silva said that around 40 public cricketers got their first hits on Saturday at the National Blood Bank subsequent to being exposed to an antigen test.

De Silva said that the two players who were tried positive have been moved to a different climate where they will go through 14 days isolate.

He said they were not piece of the 18-part crew named to leave for Bangladesh on 16 May to play a progression of three ODIs in Dhaka. The crew to Bangladesh will go into a bio-bubble from today before their takeoff.

Sri Lanka visit through England starts on 23rd June with 3 Match T20 arrangement followed by 3 game ODI arrangement.

The 28-part squad for the approaching England T20 and ODI arrangement that begins on 23 June, following the Bangladesh arrangement. Sri Lanka will play three every one of T20Is and ODIs separately in England during 23 June and 4 July.
