Yuvraj Singh announces his playoff contenders alongside DC and MI in IPL 2020

One month has gone by since the inaugural match of #Dream11 IPL 2020. All the 8 teams have played 9 matches each and it’s been a thrill to watch so far. In these four weeks, we have had four super overs, one double super over, few exciting chases, a lot of hitting, a couple of Tewatia specials, KKR’s captaincy change, Delhi Capitals’ injury concerns, a much-awaited Gayle Storm and finally KXIP holding their nerves in crucial moments.

Two of the most balance squads – Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians are sitting at top two positions of table with 7 wins and 6 wins respectively in 9 matches. Following them is RCB with 6 wins out of 9 matches. While KKR is placed 4th with 10 points, four teams SRH, KXIP, CSK and RR are tied at 6 points each with NRR separating them.

With the tournament looking set for exciting finish, former greats and analysts of the game has started their prediction for the tournament. Former Indian player and IPL icon, Yuvraj Singh has named his playoff contenders in a tweet during yesterday’s match.

Yuvraj Singh posted a tweet during the chase of KXIP, when Nicholas Pooran injected the life in chase by hitting 23 runs off just 7 balls. His quickfire innings not only allowed KL Rahul to bat deep but also brought down the required runrate below 9 runs per over.

Writing on his twitter handle, Yuvraj Singh praised the south-paw for his magnificent bat flow and hitting prowess. Yuvraj also prophesized that it will be KXIP, who will qualify for playoffs along side Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.

“Looks like tonight’s game changer is going to be @nicholas_47! Beautiful flow of the bat ! So amazing to watch ! Reminds me of someone I live within! Game on ! My prediction I feel @kxip will go all way to playoffs and play the finals along with @mipaltan or @DelhiCapitals”: tweeted Yuvraj Singh.

Interestingly, KXIP also kept their hopes alive by registering a win against defending champion in a father of all thrillers. The result of the match was decided in second super over after the match and first super over ended in a dead tie.
